EMDR processing is based upon the AIP’s ability to link dysfunctional and functional memory networks. The more accurately these memory networks are defined and bundled within a targeting sequence plan, the more effective, efficient and safe the treatment outcomes. Targeting sequence plans constructed using the client’s core belief schema, generate effect, efficient and safe processing. Core belief schema, as conceptualized around the developmental plateaus of Survival Instinct, Responsibility (Control, Shame, Guilt) and Vulnerability clarify case conceptualization and EMDR treatment. Through lecture, videos and a group experiential component, participants in the workshop will learn the belief schema plateaus, how to help the client identify his/hers, and how a belief schema focused targeting sequence plan is implemented using the standard EMDR 8 phase/3 pronged treatment approach
